Allowing the Body to Heal

Dr Allan and patientAt Westleigh Chiropractic, we strive to make chiropractic care accessible to everyone. It’s a healthcare method that removes pressure from areas of the spine that are not moving correctly, so that the nervous system can function at its best.

When the nervous system works as it should, your body can heal itself and function at its ideal level. What chiropractors do is locate the areas of the spine that are not moving properly, and correct them through chiropractic adjustments. It’s a gentle, completely natural approach that doesn’t rely on drugs or surgery.

Each person is unique and has their own specific healthcare needs and goals. Dr Van (Chiropractor) won’t know what your care program will involve until he has done a full consultation and assessment. During that process, he will explain everything he finds and ensure that you understand what’s causing your condition and how chiropractic care may be able to help.

Who Seeks Our Care?

We see a wide variety of patients, ranging in age from primary school age on up through the nineties. People often seek our care for the following types of biomechanical conditions:

  • Back pain
  • Bursitis
  • Chronic pain
  • Neck pain
  • Shoulder impingement
  • Sciatic pain

When you experience symptoms such as pain, loss of mobility or other dysfunction, it’s a sign that your body isn’t able to adapt and keep up with the stresses of your day-to-day routine. This is when most patients seek our care. We locate the underlying causes of the problem and correct them. Then we work to help patients improve their lifestyle and health in general, so they can remain well for the long haul.

Our Techniques

Our primary adjusting technique is Activator Methods®. Dr Van also employs Diversified and Gonstead, as well as rehab exercises, when needed. He is also certified in dry needling, which helps release soft tissue trigger points.
